This product is an example of Seals-it innovation at its best. In their relentless pursuit of more speed and better handling, certain NEXTEL CUP teams determined that a little positive camber in the left rear wheel helped the car turn better.
Great idea, until the realization that a growing number of spline failures were the result of the camber. The camber causes the grease to be displaced from the spline and wheel bearing, resulting in the destruction of either or both. After hearing about the problem, the Seals-it product development group set out to develop a seal that would “fix” the problem, and protect the camber advantage.
The driveplate seal has proven to be the answer. It is a snap in seal that also provides assurance that proper lubrication will be maintained in all non-cambered rear ends.
